BIRKENSTOCK Sandals Spring09 Review

April 29, 2009 at 11:46 pm (Fashion)

Birkenstock sandals for the spring09, The Girzeh-Peridot Patent Birko-Flor Gizeh for the women, it’s made of acrylic and polyamide with felt, I don’t like the style of this new collection, it looks like men’s footwear not for women. It’s not looks stylist. I won’t buy this kind of sandals. Compare to their other style The Plum Patent Birko-Flor Madrid, made same materials. The style looks more terrible than The Girzeh. In my opinion that women’s sandals must more stylist and glamorous, it would be really catch women’s eyes and wants to get.

I use their Super Aqua-Toner. This toner optimum hydration resistance, and made the skin prepared to with stand the effect of ageing and extreme aggressions and prepare the skin to receive the other treatments. guerlainsuperaquaserum
I also use Super Aqua-Serum for my next step. I chose this product that was because it carried with a luxurious and highly effective concentrate, providing hydration and regeneration, it was creamy, comforting serum that could deeply moisturize and improve the skin.

April 25, 2009 at 2:41 am (Fashion)

The show Ugly Betty is the most suitable television show to be discussed fashion-wise. The show stars America Ferrera, Eric Mabius, Vanessa Williams, and Ashely Jensen etc in addition to cameo appearances by Hollywood stars such as Lindsay Lohan. Ugly Betty is about a girl lacking fashion sense and aesthetic polish but end up working as an assistant for a trendy magazine’s executive editor. The show focus on fashion except for Betty. Although Betty does have her unique style of fashion. She does not follow the trend nor does she use name-brand products. Her style is usually colorful and pieced together with different patterns and Mexican cultural apparels. On the other hand, cast members of the show showcase trend and fashion like there is no tomorrow. Wilhelmina Slater dress in couture work suits and prefers exotic fur in winter time. Her handbags are different every time and her hat is always extravagant. Marc St James, the homosexual, will always be dressed in highly-fashionable outfit that only queer eyed people will wear. Amanda Sommers, the extremely open-minded receptionist, always flaunt her body and dress in skin-tight outfits that will attract the attention of male human beings. A pet peeve post

April 25, 2009 at 2:21 am (Fashion)

1. I will not wear shiny and bright color clothing because they totally do not suit my skin tone.
2. I will only wear leopard or zebra print clothing because all other animal prints looks weird when enlarged.
3. I cannot tolerate people who tuck their t-shirt into jean because that is just ugly.
4. I will always iron and fold my clothes before i stow them away because wrinkles are impolite and shows i am a lazy person.
5. I will not combine checker print and stripe as one outfit because that is just way too much pattern and extremely busy for people to look at.
6. Price is the most sensitive issue when it comes out with fashion. I would think fashion is the thing which can make you more stylish and the thing is kind of related to what items I can purchase. So if fashion makes me cost lots of money then it would be very annoying to me.
7.This is the most annoying issue when it comes to fashion. I personally don’t buy any fake stuff because it hurts the idea or art work from the designers. This would make people who are loosing the interest to create the new design in fashion.
8.I would say when size comes to fashion especially with women; this is a big issue for me. Our sizes will change as the age’s difference and also some brands have different measures for the sizes. For example, size measure in Asian countries is different from America. Sometimes size issue is very annoying to me.
9. Every season has different color trend and when it comes to fashion, it might be annoying to me. People always change their mind when they think about the color to match up the fashion thing every season. I would say my skin tone and also when my age is getting older, color would be the big issue to me when it comes to fashion.

Window Display Designer-Gene Moore

April 24, 2009 at 11:46 pm (Fashion)

Gene Moore is one of the most important window-dresser who is regarded as the father of contemporary window display of the 20th century. There is a Gene Moore award which annually recognizes the talent, creativity and magic of Display Window Designers. He had spent half of his life working for Tiffany’s until he retired at 84, as vice-president for window display. Since Moore joined Tiffany’s in 1955, the windows that designed by him were approximately 5,000 in 39 years. Moore was known for using concepts or actual works of modern art in his windows, including those of Jasper Johns, Alexander Ney and Andy Warhol. At Tiffany’s, Moore showed how they could be as compelling as a work of art. “I’m probably a little crazy,” he said. Moore has so much connected with Tiffany’s. He published a book about his life and window-dressing experiences, “My Time at Tiffany’s” in 1990. From 1955 until 1995, Moore transformed the windows into miniature stages that reflected events and holidays, always with a fresh point of view. When New York City suffered a drought in 1965 and the city was under strict water rationing, Moore installed tiny circulating fountains in the windows with a sign noting that the clear liquid was gin, not water, in keeping with the guidelines. Even though Moore retired from Tiffany and died in 1998, the window of Tiffany’s still keeping the spirit of his idea until today.
